The death of Alfred Elmore, aged 78 years a life long
resident and farmer of Putnam County occurred Friday night at 9:30 o’clock at
the home of his daughter, Mrs. Gilbert Ogles, near Mt. Meridian. Mr. Elmore has
been in failing health for the past several years. He has always lived near Mt.
Meridian. Surviving is the widow and three children, Mrs. Ogles, Mrs. Ray
Kivett and a son, Herbert Elmore, who lives near Mt. Meridian. Funeral services
will be held Sunday morning at 11 o’clock at New providence church with interment
in the cemetery there – transcribed by kbz.
